MBCT (Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy) Wednesday evenings start 13 Sept 2017

For Stress, anxiety, depression, worry, sleep and life difficulties.

Mindfulness will help you gain more meaning, value, purpose and joy in your life.

Our Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) 8 week course follows the Oxford evidenced based training to prevent depressive relapse.

Mindfulness is designed to help you handle difficult thoughts, feelings and moods by learning to respond rather than react to life's difficulties.

You will learn the core skill of 'mindfulness' - a way of of being present in body, mind and the world around you. This enables you to cultivate and increase awareness and offers potential for positive changes in your life.

This course is not for people who are currently depressed.

Pippa O'Connor is a psychotherapist (BSc, MSc: CERT Dip) and senior lecturer in the Mindfulness Based Clinical Applications at the North London Hospital Southgate. She is a Trauma Sensitive Mindfulness teacher at Tavistock Hospital and has a BSC in Cognitive Behavior, Addiction and Trauma / DIP Trauma / EMDR.

The course follows the NICE-approved MBCT model and is held in a warm, relaxed setting that combines structure, informality and the highest professional standards.

For anyone wishing to enhance the quality of their life through deepening awareness of unhelpful patterns of body and mind. Develop skills to manage the ups and downs of everyday life as well as anxiety, depression, addictive behaviours, stress, chronic illness and pain. Suitable for those who are susceptible to depression but who are not actively depressed.

(CMBT) Mindfulness & Compassionate Mind Behaviour Training - starts 15 Nov 2017

Compassionate Mindfulness Behaviour Training (CMBT); is for anyone wanting to let go of difficult emotions using evidenced based CMBT techniques to train and transform our negative thoughts and feelings.(e.g. depression, stress, anxiety, sadness, anger, loneliness)

Instead of fighting difficult emotions, critical and judgemental thinking of self and other with CMBT we will learn to accept and lessen reactivity and find new helpful and skilful ways to be with ourselves and others by cultivating kindly awareness.

CMBT includes the MBCT Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy Training for depression, anxiety and worry. The CMBT training is the added component to integrate change, wisdom, joy, equanimity and compassion for transformation in our life.

Suitable for newcomers and for anyone who wishes to enhance their skills.
