Saturday Morning Meditation and Buddhism Drop-in class ***New***

From 6 October, the Saturday morning class will include a Buddhism option.

We start with meditation at 10:15, then once a month there is the talk (for more information click here) and the other Saturdays the talk themes continue in the second half in an interactive format.

October: attachment, generosity and liberation.

November: hatred and kindness.

December: ignorance and awakening.

The first half will be suitable for newcomers or experienced meditators.

Anapanasati Day (Sun 21 Oct)

Looking for ways to bring more curiosity and creativity to your meditation practice? Curious about the root teaching that the mindfulness of breathing is based on? Do a deep dive into the Anapanasati Sutta where the Buddha lays out the full path of awakening from bringing awareness to the breath to experiencing the complete cessation of suffering, in 16 steps!

Open to all who have a regular practice of the Mindfulness of Breathing and the Metta Bhavana.

You are invited to bring vegetarian lunch to share if you wish.

The Path as Symbol: Meditation as Personal Journey (start 24 Oct)

An intensive meditation course, for those who wish to take their practice deeper.

We will collectively explore how to create the conditions for a calm, peaceful mind that can more fully turn towards and stay with direct experience and how we can begin to meet difficult sensations, thoughts and emotions with curiosity and without judgement.

The course aims to help us see more clearly our habitual reactions and the suffering they create, and find out what else is possible.

Autumn Sangha Retreat - Entering the Mandala of the Five Buddhas

This weekend continues the exploration of the Mandala of the Five Buddhas which we began at our Midsummer Retreat in June. (You do not need to have attended the previous retreat).
