WATER - an elemental Qigong workshop (1 Dec 19)

Water is our deep potential to develop and change. It is essential to life, and in a very real sense we are water. These forms will include some inspired by the Bear, the animal associated with Water in the Five Elements system.

WOOD - an elemental Qigong workshop (Apr 2020)

Wood is the power of growth and is associated with the season of Spring. In the body it manifests as the Liver and Gall Bladder organs, responsible for planning, decision-making and the free flow of Blood, Qi and the emotions. The Liver in particular is said to house our 'wild inner spirit' and its vitality governs the healthy expression of this aspect of us, including our sexuality.

The expansive and spiraling qualities of Wood and its connection to these organs and their meridians will be explored in both moving and static forms. The Deer is the animal most associated with the Wood Element and we will use several Deer forms that embody the animal's power and grace. The day will be gently paced and will be perfect for the beginner.

Tea will be provided.
