SANGHA EVENING: Entreaty and Supplication

Do we really need to ask?

With: Santva, The Monday Night Team

Friday 22nd March 2019

Spring Equinox Celebration

We will mark the Spring Equinox with meditation, ritual and a puja to Green Tara. Celebrated as Ostara in pagan times, it has associations with the rebirth of the year and with fertility. It is a time of preparation for farmers. Back then it was tradition to bring seeds to be blessed.

The word blessing comes from the Old English blaedsian meaning to make sacred. You are encouraged to bring seeds - actual or conceptual - to be blessed as part of the puja. Whether they are flowers for the garden or intentions for our life to make them sacred as they take root and grow into our life.
