ONLINE: Women's Class (every 2nd Saturday of the month) - September’s topic is Compassionate Communication

For all women who are interested in Buddhism and meditation. This is a monthly event exploring different aspects of the Buddha's teachings and meditation. Usually there is a talk or workshop, often by a guest speaker, and some meditation. All women welcome. It helps if you are familar with our meditation practices the Mindfulness of Breathing and the Metta Bhavana, but please be assured that is not essential.

12 Sept: Compassionate Communication - Solidarity with Self & the World

This month we welcome back Vajraghanta with her years of experience in facilitating the art and craft of compassionate communication. In line with the autumn theme for the Centre - ‘Solidarity with Self & World’ - Vajraghanta is offering us this afternoon workshop. She writes: “Why is it that we tend to focus on difference when at heart we all long for connection? Our tendency to see differences between ourselves and others (usually in the form of judgement), or to judge ourselves can dominate our attention. We will explore this dynamic during this afternoon, with the focus on cultivating what brings us together based on a better understanding of what can keep us apart.”

This event is offered in the spirit of generosity in that our teachers give their time for free. Please consider joining with that spirit and donating to help us keep our Centre afloat through these difficult times. Suggested donation £10. Please donate here
