Start your weekend in a positive way with our friendly ‘weekend wakening’ Saturday morning class. Every week we have in-depth meditation teaching suitable both for people with experience and newcomers, who can learn our core practices from scratch. The first hour is meditation teaching and practice. Then at 11:30 we continue with ideas, questions and discussion on Buddhism and meditation, with a special guest talk once a month. You are welcome to join for either half, or best of all for the whole class.
Sat 10 Oct at 11:30: special guest speaker Danapriya on ‘Actions have Consequences: Karma & Changing the Future’
Today after meditation stay online for this, the second talk on our autumn programme theme - Solidarity with Self & World - continuing our series on the Tibetan teaching of the Four Reminders. Danapriya will talk on the second reminder - the topic of karma - explaining how the way you live and act now creates the future for yourself and the world.
We are thrilled to have Danapriya as a guest speaker this month. Danapriya is an experienced Buddhist teacher and mentor and is currently launching his new book, ‘It’s Not Out There: How to See Differently and Live an Extraordinary, Ordinary Life.’ Most of us are always looking outside ourselves for something. But this something, this ‘it’, is not out there. ‘It’ is within us. Danapriya shows how to stop looking outside ourselves for happiness and fulfilment. He explains how to uncover the fertile ground of our own potential, so we can live the life we are here for. Click here to see an interview with Danapriya about the book.
