This is one of a monthly series of talks on Buddhism aimed at anyone who is curious to learn more about the Buddha’s teachings. We really hope people will come to all the talks because each series is chosen to form a coherent collection of topics. If you attend all the talks in each series you will have a broad overview of core areas of Buddhist teaching. However, if you miss any of them, don’t worry because each talk is also stand-alone. Or you can catch up by listening to the podcasts of previous talks here
For the rest of 2020 our monthly talks will cover The Four Reminders. The first talk on 12 Sept will focus on the First Reminder: the meaning and preciousness of this human life of ours. This will also be our keynote speech, launching the NLBC theme for the coming months - Solidarity with Self and World.
All welcome.
Although this is a free event we would be very grateful if you are able to donate to help us keep the centre going through these very difficult times. Suggested donation £5. Please donate here
You can listen to the podcasts of previous talks here on Soundcloud, or on our YouTube channel here.
If you would like to you can also join us beforehand for a meditation before the talk using the same Zoom link as for the talk. Please arrive for this from 10:15 for a prompt 10:30 start.
Zoom Meeting details click here.
***If you would prefer to attend the talk LIVE at the Centre, you will need to book a place in advance so please go back to the menu and look for the LIVE entry for today’s session for more info and how to book***
We are also hoping to LIVE stream these events on our North London Buddhist Centre YouTube channel. Check it out here.
In the weeks in between the monthly talks, please do come to a discussion group from 11:30 around themes from the talks as part of the Saturday morning class.
