The Sangha is the Buddhist term for the community of people wishing to learn from the Buddha's teachings. Lalitaraja, Santva, Manjumitra, Khemananda and guest Order Members take turns to lead these evenings, practising and communicating Buddhism. A Sangha evening might include a talk, meditation, discussion, workshop, devotional practice. Open to all though most suitable for Intermediates and Regulars. *** LAUNCH OF BUDDHIST ACTION MONTH ***
Mon 7th June - ‘The Lion’s Roar: speaking up in a troubled world’ - a talk by special guest Parami
Parami is one of the most senior Order Members in our movement so we are delighted to welcome her to the NLBC to launch Buddhist Action Month 2021 with the theme “The Lions Roar: speaking up in a troubled world”. She is perhaps the ideal person to do so - well known for speaking up on environmental, political and other aspects of our troubled world. She has been an active and engaged Buddhist for over 40 years and is particularly inspired by the Bodhisattva Ideal of working towards the end of suffering for all beings. She will be supported by Karunagita and Katja.
No booking required but please pay what you can to help us continue to offer classes through this current crisis time. Suggested amount £10. Please donate here
