The Sangha is the Buddhist term for the community of people wishing to learn from the Buddha's teachings. Lalitaraja, Santva, Manjumitra, Khemananda and guest Order Members take turns to lead these evenings, practising and communicating Buddhism. A Sangha evening might include a talk, meditation, discussion, workshop, devotional practice. Open to all (though it is helpful if you have had an introduction to the Mindfulness of Breathing and Metta Bhavana meditation practices).
Monday 19th July: Uncontrived Mindfulness with Vajradevi
We are thrilled to have Vajradevi here this week to offer a workshop. She is one of Triratna’s most admired teachers and will be introducing key ideas from her new book - “Uncontrived Mindfulness” - which draws on the Satipatthana Sutta, with a strong focus on awareness and Right View. She will also lead a meditation in the style of the book, encouraging a receptive and natural way of being with experience, and with the precision of a Dharma perspective. There will also be time for questions during the session.
