'What is a Mitra Series'

  • North London Buddhist Centre 72 Holloway Road London, England, N7 8JG United Kingdom (map)

If you feel the path of Buddhist practice may be for you, then you might like to consider marking your commitment by becoming a Mitra (meaning ‘friend’).

If you’ve been coming to the NLBC for a while and think you might like to deepen your involvement, come along to these series to explore the three declarations that are marked when becoming a Mitra with our mitra convenors, Anandavajra & Darsavini.

The three declarations are:

  1. ‘I feel myself to be a Buddhist’

  2. ‘I am trying to practice the five precepts’

  3. ‘I feel the Triratna Buddhist Community is the main context in which I wish to deepen my practice’

In the second half of the first session on Sat 11 Jan we’ll join the Saturday class to hear Ksantikara, our chair, launch the year of the Mandala.

Please book a place so we can keep track of numbers.
