Recovery Dharma
A weekly meeting of Recovery Dharma, a peer-led group that uses Buddhist practices and principles to find freedom from the suffering of addiction. Our program uses The Four Noble Truths and The Eightfold Path as a guide for our recovery. Meetings are a chance to come together to support recovery through the practice of mindfulness, self-inquiry, meditation, study of the Dharma, listening to each other, and building community.
- What can I expect? Each meeting offers short readings, a 15–20-minute meditation, and group sharing in a compassionate, non-judgemental space. Our meetings are free, relying on the generosity of members to support our meeting space where possible. We ask attendees to respect the anonymity and confidentiality of all participants.
- What this is for? Recovery Dharma welcomes anyone who is looking to heal from addiction and addictive behaviour, whether it involves substance use or process addictions like gambling, compulsive use of sex or relationships, technology co-dependency, eating disorders, self-harm, or any obsessive or habitual pattern that creates suffering.
- About the facilitator. This meeting is facilitated by volunteers from the Recovery Dharma London Sangha.
