The winter solstice is an important turning point in the year, as it marks the shortest day, when the hours of daylight are at their least and the light begins it’s return, it symbolizes the rebirth of the Sun.
We'll celebrate with an evening of meditation, reflection and ritual to prepare for the festive season and the coming year. This is a time to reflect on the year and prepare our resolutions, so that we have the best chance of success with any changes we want to make. The puja will be dedicated to the buddha Vairocana who sits at the centre of the mandala, whose associations with solar energy seem appropriate.
Wear red and white! We will be on zoom as well as live at the Centre!
