Be 'on retreat' in the midst of your daily life.
Find the truth, then live by it - Urgyen Sangharakshita
We are offered so many options for self-development that it is easy to be paralysed by the choice. Buddhism offers a path towards growth and meaning that's been around for thousands of years, tried and tested by millions of people.
Discover the great stages of the path (Integration, Positive Emotion, Spiritual Receptivity, Spiritual Death and Spiritual Rebirth) by putting them into practice within your everyday London life.
Learn how to open up to beauty, channel disparate motivations into growth and cultivate a fit, positive mind. Day by day we get a taste for what it would be like to let go of any fixed sense of ourselves and become free of all limitations.
We’ll support you to turn a week of your normal life into a retreat with early morning meditation (plus breakfast), lunchtime classes, a total immersion day, evening dharma talks and motivational text messages.
Urban Retreat Programme:
Kick Off & Opening Ceremony | Saturday 15 March | 1.30pm - 4pm
Meet the team, chat with fellow urban-retreatants and commit to turning your life into a retreat over the coming week. We’ll look at tips on how to best engage with the retreat, reflect on our intentions and hopes, and take part in a special opening ceremony to start the retreat together.
