Autumn Sanghas Retreat | The Drama of Cosmic Enlightenment
Take your imagination to its limits. Open to the transformative power of the White Lotus Sutra. This ancient text unfolds across the universe, employing mythological scenes on a cosmic stage and with myriad beings as its actors.
Lead by members of the Adhisthana Teaching Community (which consists of many of Triratna’s most experienced Dharma teachers), this week-long retreat invites you into the path of the Bodhisattva through parables and wisdom beyond words. Open the door to illuminate the transformative power of the White Lotus Sutra.
You’ll be in a daily discussion group alongside others from the North London Buddhist Centre but as part of a large gathering of other centres. Adhisthana’s combined Sangha’s events aim to ‘foster connections beyond a person’s local context and also emphasise the universality of the Dharma’. Colchester, Exeter, Frome, Mid-Essex, Glasgow, Southampton, Stroud and West London Buddhist Centres are also taking part in this event (with more likely to join).
This retreat is suitable for those that have been coming along to the North London Buddhist Centre for a year or more and have taken part in one of our weekend retreats.

Some Practical Information
You can arrive from 4pm on Friday 15 November, with the retreat beginning with supper at 6pm. The retreat will finish after the clear-up, so if travelling on public transport, please book a train after 11am on Friday 22 November.
During the retreat you’ll be asked to turn off you’re phone, so in case of emergencies you may like to inform your family and friends that they can contact Adhisthana on 01531 641726.
Adhisthana caters for most accessibility requirements, with disabled access rooms which can be allocated upon request. Adhisthana serve’s three vegan meals a day - if you have any dietary restrictions you need to let them know when you book.
This retreat is not organised by the North London Buddhist Centre (we’re just organising to go along as a Sangha together) so you need to contact Adhisthana with any questions.

Regular trains run from London to Colwall. You can travel from Euston with a change at Birmingham New Street or there are some direct services from Paddington - both options take about 3 hours.
Adhisthana also has car parking facilities if you would prefer to drive.
