In Person: Yoga and Meditation Workshop

19 March | 10:45am - 1:00pm - Please arrive at 10:30 for a 10:45 start.

Open to all. Booking required.

This Yoga and Meditation workshop is suitable for both complete beginners to those with experience of yoga and meditation. The focus will be on awakening inner energy of creative expression in body, heart and mind.

The yoga practice will be holistic - combined with ethical practice, breath awareness and meditation - to liberate the flow of energy (chi or prana) through the entire being.  The aim is to cultivate physical health, psychological and spiritual wellbeing. 

Please arrive at 10:30 for a 10:45. Please note latecomers may not be admitted.

  • 10:45 am - first yoga practice - building awareness and kindness, introducing theme of the workshop, evocation of the qualities of the space/wood element 

  • 11:45am - short break

  • 12:00 am - second yoga practice, with meditation, breathing practices and setting intentions

  • 12:45pm - feedback over mindful tea (bring vegan snacks to share)

  • 1pm - close

Wear comfortable clothing that does not restrict movement. Please inform the teacher before starting the session if you have any injury or health condition or if you have recently had an operation.

Teacher Information

Dr Guhyasakhi (Bernadette) Carelse has over ten years of learning and teaching Buddhism, twenty years teaching yoga, and thirty years practicing yoga, meditation and energy cultivation.  In these workshops, she weaves yoga and meditation practice into the spiral path of the energy centres of the body (chakras), using simple visualisation and mantra practices. 

Please note that Guhysakhi has worked as a Yoga Teacher and Shiatsu and bodywork therapist for over twenty years and may offer individualised recommendations and/or adjustments to the yoga poses and meditation practices.
