Join Ratnaprabha and team for our fourth and final keynote autumn talk on aspects of Buddhism. We will start with meditation teaching and practice suitable for all, followed by a talk from our very special guest speaker, Prajnadevi.
This is the fourth talk on our autumn programme theme - ‘Solidarity with Self & World’ - and is entitled ‘How the light gets in’. This continues our series on the Tibetan teaching of the Four Reminders by exhorting us to remember the defects of Samsara. Our day-to-day lives are inevitably imperfect so how can we let the light in through the ever-present cracks and see what is real? Our views colour our experience and vice versa. Even though truth is not hiding, it can be hard to see. By learning to shine a light on the defects of Samsara we can begin to see we're all in the same boat.
We are thrilled to have Prajnadevi as a special guest speaker today. Prajnadevi has been ordained for over 25 years and is now herself responsible for ordaining other women. She is deeply moved by the poignancy of this human life, so the topic today is something that she has reflected on for many years.
