Everyone is warmly invited to this special ‘Embracing Liberation Community Gathering’ facilitated by the NLBC Racial Diversity and Inclusion Kula
Please BOOK A PLACE by clicking the button below so that we have some idea of numbers. To join the session please sign in to your Zoom account at https://www.zoom.us/signin just BEFORE the start time of 1:30pm and use Meeting ID: 881 9214 1862 and Passcode: 722963 or click here and enter the ID/passcode.
We are inviting diversity of any age, shade of skin colour or heritage, whether new to the NLBC and Tritatna or a 'well seasoned' practitioner - all are welcome. This gathering follows the launch of the NLBC Racial Diversity and Inclusion (RDI) Kula’s initiative on 15 May. Buddhism informs and inspires our spiritual lives. Together we can discover how to use mindfulness and metta, calmly and gently, to guide unconscious racialised conditioning into conscious awareness.
We will be sharing more insights from the NLBC racial diversity survey, with opportunities to discuss them. There will be time and space to deepen this conversation and to begin to co-create a shared vision for racial diversity at the NLBC in terms of what could be in place in 3-5 years, as well as more immediately.
The RDI Kula is open to anyone interested in this work and linked to the NLBC - let us know if you would like to join our meetings by emailing us at nlbcrdikula@gmail.com.
*** If you have not done so already please do complete our survey to help us understand and plan for the future at the NLBC. You can access the survey by clicking here ***
From the RDI Kula: Bernadette Carelse, Bodhamayi, Chandrasurya, Chris Porter, Katja Behrendt, Khemajala, Rachel Goodman, Shakyasiddhi and Singhashri
In the spirit of inclusivity this event is free. However if you are in a position to give us a donation towards the survival of the Centre, and would like to so that we can continue to offer events to as many people as possible in these difficult times, that would be very much appreciated. You can donate here. Please use reference ‘RDI’. Many many thanks.
