LIVE & ONLINE: Full Moon Puja to Green Tara, in memory of Sangharakshita (25/08/1925 - 30/10/2018)

Our Pujas (Buddhist rituals) on the Full Moon are evenings of meditation and devotional practice dedicated to different aspects of the Awakened Mind. Each aspect is personified in a particular Buddha or Bodhisattva figure. One way of thinking about it is that Puja is a way of ritually honouring our own highest potential through the lens of each of the different figures.

Extra special Puja on Friday 30th October at 19:30 - LIVE spaces available as well as online!

Tonight's Puja is a special annual honouring of the death of Sangharakshita, the founder of the Triratna Buddhist Order & Community, who died in 2018. Led by our Chair, Ratnaprabha, it will be dedicated to Green Tara, one of the representations of Enlightenment in female form with whom Sangaharakshita felt a deep connection. She is particuarly seen as the Bodhisattva of Compassion In Action. There will be chanting, mantra and meditation.

Suitable for people who have some experience of meditation. If you are not familiar with Buddhist ritual please do feel free to come along and check it out.

To join the Puja in person LIVE in the Main Shrine Room at the NLBC
Advance booking is essential as places are limited. Please don’t book a space unless you are definitely going to attend. Doors will open at 7:20pm. Please bring a face mask and your own drink, and wear EXTRA WARM clothing because the Covid-19 protocol means we have to keep the windows open for ventilation! You can reserve your space using the button below. Please also do make a donation towards the Centre if you possibly can. We have lost around 60% of our income and at the moment we are nowhere near breaking even. Many thanks!
