ONLINE: Sangha Night - Diving Into Refuge with Ratnaprabha, Chair of NLBC

The Sangha is the Buddhist term for the community of people wishing to learn from the Buddha's teachings. Lalitaraja, Santva, Manjumitra, Khemananda and guest Order Members take turns to lead these evenings, practising and communicating Buddhism. A Sangha evening might include a talk, meditation, discussion, workshop, devotional practice. Open to all (though it is helpful if you have had an introduction to the Mindfulness of Breathing and Metta Bhavana meditation practices).

Monday 9th August: Diving Into Refuge with the Chair of the NLBC

We'll be welcoming Ratnaprabha as tonight's Sangha Night guest. As Chair of the NLBC for nearly 4 years Ratnaprabha has exemplified Going for Refuge through successes, and changes of plan in unforeseen circumstances. He's someone who walks the walk and this evening we'll hear him giving the talk. 'Going for Refuge to the Buddha, Dharma and Sangha’ is what defines a Buddhist. Is it that you're either going for refuge or not? Do you pass over some threshold where you become a genuine Buddhist? Ratnaprabha will describe how Going For Refuge is a process that gradually deepens, and only becomes complete when you are the Buddha that you go for refuge to.'
