Parinirvana Day Festival: Sunday 14th February 2021 from 11:00am
Hosted by Anandavajra and Lalitaraja with help from Santva.
Suitable for Newcomers / Intermediates / Regulars.
Parinirvana Day is one of the great annual Buddhist Festivals. It honours the day when the Buddha’s died. This is known as his Parinirvana - the death of his human form. Death is a mystery to us all and the death of an Enlightened being is even more mysterious. There will be opportunities to meditate, reflect and connect as we remember the Buddha’s life and death, and also the lives and deaths of others we have lost. Only by turning towards and honouring the impermanence of all things may we find true value and meaning in life. Join the NLBC today as we come together to support each other in doing just that - especially in these challenging global times. A morning of meditation, reflection and readings, a talk with plenty of time to share and a puja make up the day.
